RHI Legacy Foundation will host a lunch and community gathering on Tuesday, April 26 for agencies who provide food to financially distressed individuals and families in Rutherford County. Included in the meeting are representative from food distribution sites such as Washburn Outreach, Welcome Table and The Neighbor’s Pantry. Second Harvest Food Bank, which provides the food for many of the agencies in our areas that serve needs for food insecure families will also have representatives attending.
The purpose of the meeting is to share best practices and to identify areas where needs may not be being met in our community. There will also be opportunities to determine other health and wellness needs associated with citizens being served by these organizations.
To learn how to send a representative from a food distribution agency, please call Foundation Director Jill Miracle at 828-202-4630 prior to April 22.
