Cancer Patient Services Coordinator Position Available

The purpose of this position is to establish a full-service organization to:

  • Assist Rutherford County cancer patients when financial difficulties occur as a result of cancer treatment and recovery
  • Assist local cancer patients in identifying and accessing existing resources to address non-clinical needs
  • Build a local network to develop new cancer screening, prevention and education services
  • Serve as the contact for fundraising and outreach activities to procure financial and material support for Cancer Patient Services

Cancer Patient Services will be a division of RHI Legacy Foundation. The successful Coordinator will advance the role to become a self-supported, separate non-profit entity. The office is located in Rutherford County, NC.

Qualifications

  • Education and professional experience in health care, social services, or non-profit operations
  • Microsoft Office capable
  • Business experience in developing budgets and proposals
  • Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in developing new methods and procedures
  • Experience in developing referral networks, partnerships and financial support for projects
  • Ability to be productive with minimal direct supervision

Compensation

  • Initially: $22,000 – $25,000 for 24 hours per week, depending on qualifications. The hours may increase as new services are developed.
  • Flexible weekly work schedule, based on patient needs
